I'm actually a little sad that these guys got more page time than my Missing Link guys, but at the same time, it's nice to see more groups from other Side Stories show up in these.

The one interesting narrative change aside from Travis picking a fight with Kajima (instead of asking him nicely like in the PS3 stories remake), is Gundam 04 and 05 appearing along for the ride. In their respective stories before this remake of Kajima assigned to two custom Gundam-types - Luce and Ford went on with their journey but at the cost of Grandpa-04 getting destroyed (alongside Luce dying) and killing Mallet, while Kajima in BD3 and the boys in their Balls are on the hunt for Nimbus, with neither side-story teams never meeting in person and simply focusing on their assigned tasks.

Its a nice change of pace on other teams meeting each other like its a crossover. Wasn't expecting our Red-Shouldered psychopath paying a visit to Marion before doing what he does best, settling the score with Kajima like in the original Blue Destiny.

Yeh, from what little I remember of the PS3 game, the two groups colluded to head up to space, which they just entirely glossed over here. Not sure if I like this version of events over that, especially since I was actually hoping to see that part here, but it is what it is. I do, however, really like Nimbus going over to Marion one last time. It feels fitting enough for him to do so, what with his pride and all.

The finale's gonna be slightly heavy with the implications. Since Kajima and the boys now have to deal with Jill Jigra in her Gyan-Kai (original made for this retelling but uses spare parts, so its a half-n-half Zeon machine with Feddie parts), and Nimbus' last wingman (Tristan) that wanted to take BD3 (as a prize, much like BD2) during the MS hijack but told not to.

And the lineart that Naoki made for BD3 needing a lot of dakka for the finale suggests that somehow Kajima needs them to take on a small squad of what remains on those who sided with Nimbus. Whereas the guy didn't have any extra stuff but only a beam rifle and shield to deal with Mr. Red Shoulder on past retellings of BD and the original game.

Yeh, I'm only tentatively familiar with the PS3 version of events, and that's about it, so I'll see how things go from here. I have seen gameplay of the original Blue Destiny game, though, and it looks pretty cool. I do appreciate all the little additions to the story that got made over the years, especially since they mostly don't interfere with anything major, at least as far as I can tell.

It doesn't matter what they tell me, Blue Destiny and Missing Link are both canon. :boomer:

Kajima acknowledged Amuro in his interview when Kikka asked him in Gundam Pulitzer, even though both aces never met in person, but Blue Death himself knows how cooked White Devil is compared to any other ace pilot in physical combat via simulator outside of missions. That's how you know an old-type respects the goat and people fear him.

(Pulitzer references this manga's version of BD1, BD2 and BD3 to tie things together)

There's only one volume left, right? I'm looking forward to it. Just today I finished a Blue Destiny Gunpla.
