I understand that this is most likely a feature of the manga format than a question of writing itself, but how much the stretching of battles over several chapters increases their significance compared to the anime! If this doesn't end with a pure happy ending, then I'll even rate this manga higher than the anime.

Looks like we're going to be getting a terrifying demonstration of the Jiu's true potential next chapter, given as how Yoshika in the previous chapter was struggling to keep up with base Kiyu even at Permet 3 & was resorting to the Anavata's fog tricks to get the upper-hand. Now that Kiyu is tapping into the high Permet Score he's primed to once again outstrip Yoshika in piloting ability & to really tear into the Anavata with the Jiu & Tiger Hand.
