Why are there so many mangas about characters suddenly becoming overpowered out of nowhere? Without any particular challenge?
Is it a backslash of the incredible amount of boring mangas where we had to follow characters hard training to become stronger?
Or is it to appeal to people who would still want to believe that they have a hidden talent themselves that is just waiting to be uncovered, just like these bland characters?
In any case, after 2 chapters, this one looks quite poor on all levels.

At this point it‘s just copy and paste with a little bit of differences. It‘s all the same. Same thing with isekai in general.
Everything becomes just boring as hell…thing is, people like these type of stuff (don‘t ask me why), so no wonder we get more and more about these genres

The English translation of the title is wrong. He was told to be a gate guard, not to "do his best"

Well, people enjoy sports, romance movies, telenovela, k-drama, FPS games, etc... which barely differ, so, it's not surprising.
So, i guess it's all about getting people interested and engaged. And instead of it being "copy and paste", maybe it's just something familiar
