I wonder how the author will have time to introduce and develop the different characters this time round?
Last time there was a quite-good reason why the employees were isolated and unable to get help from the authorities, so they had to keep hiking for several days which gave time to introduce each of the characters and their various intrigues.
But this time the authorities know what is going on and the team have radios so it's harder to imagine why they would be isolated for multiple days. Any time they get in trouble could just ask for back up and be in communication by radio/cell phone the whole time and way more soldiers/police would come.
Plus it seems like the action will ramp up a lot faster this time around so it will be harder to find time to introduce the soldiers.
I'm still excited though. I bet I'll find myself missing Anzai a lot though.

Getting my prediction in early: the glasses guy with a mole on his chin is a member of a monkey-worshipping cult that's trying to lure the protagonists into an ambush as vengeance for all the simian murder they committed in the first series because they do not consider self-defense to be a legitimate excuse.

The final boss will be Anzai, whose soul has been reincarnated into the body of a giant monkey by the cult's profane rituals.

Also guessing that Yoshikawa is gonna be a huge fucking weirdo, but he's got some pretty big shoes to fill considering the sorta hinky shit the bug-eyed hiker guy was up to in the first series.
