I’m sure some people came to series expecting fluff of the same caliber as the mangaka’s previous work, and while I do think it’s of the same strength, it’s a different beast. As opposed to the author’s previous primarily regular fluff story, this story exudes fluff in the most contrived way. Both of the main characters are quite awkward, but are genuinely well meaning, but still super awkward. While they may mess up many times, here and there on matters small and large, they persevere regardless. This series is a breath of fresh air compared to the generic romcoms with the usual generic twists on their premises, as through and through, the mangaka ensures he stays true to the core of the story, Awkward but Cute. Give it a read, it’ll be a good one.
