@kingdedede I'm coming from chapter 1. Could you spoil me on any relevant novel details regarding his younger sister? Did the author just forget he wrote her as a part of Lobelia's backstory? Did the novel specify her as having died? Were there relevant details the manga left out? It's such a glaringly obvious plot hole, at least in the manga, that it's actively pulling me out of the story and ruining my enjoyment. Would she not serve as his entire character motivation and be his most pertinent, pressing concern immediately after having escaped slavery? Instead he wholly dedicates himself to some petty revenge then dies in vain after having joined the same army that took everything from him because the hero beat him up a few times. As it's presented in the manga, it's such a lame character backstory, but I'm assuming there's a lot more to his decision in the novel.
