And what is this? A plotline? In this thinly veiled extreme fetish not-a-hentai manga? Color me surprised. I mean it won't stop the fetishes, but hey, nothing wrong with a story as long as it's consistent and actually well written.

It could be revealed later that she has 0 tolerance for alcohol or something and that's just an excuse. Also some people simply don't drink alcohol or only drink it when they are free, but with how it is being mentioned i think it's going to be relevant in some way to the story. Who knows what author is planning.

It's kinda pragmatic. I think. I would speculate two or three reasons for this but guessing what senators think is a lousy waste of time.
