We made it!

The quality of the scans for these last few volumes wasn't great, so if anyone ends up making some higher quality ones, I'll happily update the scanlation, but until then, my work here is done. (phew)

Thanks everyone, hope you enjoy it!
Congratulations and thanks for finishing this!

Great work completing this. I think this might be the 90s-iest series of all time, and it's good we got to read it. It's tropey, it's edgy, it's totally nonsensical in parts, but it was fun, and it's heritage.

Thank you so much for finishing this series, it's honestly a hidden gem. I remember seeing the actual physical release by Dark Horse ages ago and being captivated but too young for it- I'm so happy to see this story to its conclusion. Thank you.

Absolute madlad, I can't remember the last time someone picked up a dead scanlation and actually followed through to the end.

Thank you for translating this. I started reading this series 17 years ago and honestly thought I would never see the end of it.

Thanks for translating the ending! I've been following this series since the Omanga days.

Any interest in doing the 'lost' chapters:
  • "File 69: Vane"
  • "File 70: Teardrop"
The Dead Man's Galaxy Days flashback confused mD-xD when they were working on it, and subsequent translation efforts passed over them, too.

I picked up the manga when I saw it was completed weeks back. I loved the earlier chapters when it was a detective manga full of body horror with a sci-fi conspiracy, then it switched genres into a sci-fi action thriller where everyone and their sister had a barcode on their eye. Never completely got over that. The author sure made a bold decision to not only kill off the protagonist, but to make a kid and Sasayama compete for the opening. In fact, there were a lot of bold decisions to kill off supporting characters. I actually liked that Sasayama went from bumbling side character to passionate investigator. He's not a genius or very competent, but his passion to see the end was enough to keep him in the plot.

This was a hell of a trip. Like many others, I started from Omanga, too. What got me interested in wanting to read it was that the artist for this series also did the character designs for Galerians. After seeing this get picked up and dropped numerous times, I didn't think that this would ever get fully translated.

Thank you for all your hard work and letting us see it through the end!
