I used to hate this type of lazy writing. "incompetent leader banishes the absolutely obviously necessary expert." I thought it was absurd and unrealistic. But now it's happening irl and Trump is trying to fire hundreds of thousands of absolutely essential federal employees, such as people in the Federal Aviation Administration. Literally the day after he fires them, 67 people die due to the severely understaffed and overworked air traffic controllers.
