Cat: While "catgirl" is a reasonable guess, the MC seems pretty dedicated to Alexandra, so I'm betting that it stays a cat. But I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a companion.

Male vs Female: We know from first chapter that the women in this manga are strong. That said, it seems to be roughly even. Pretty standard trope is "girl is strong, boy is weak; boy works to get strong enough to be (at least) on par with, and thus win the woman". (E.g. Danmachi.)

The pace felt fine in the web novel, though the progression is the same so far. There's just more details, which I personally always prefer.

Though I haven't finished it yet, I'm two thirds there. It's consistently enjoyable, with some highs and no particular lows. The main couple's relationship is endearing, like I expected.

I'd say it's a solid fine.5/10. Nothing groundbreaking, but worth a read if you're into this specific type of story.

I actually just noticed, but the manga cover is really misleading.



It looks like Harold is holding a big sword with his right arm to protect Alexandra, but it's actually Alexandra holding the sword.

Feels intentional.
