cultivation chat group rip-off?

This starts out as what seems to be a fairly shameless cultivation chat group rip-off. But with significantly compacted (and worse) pacing. However it fairly quickly goes its own way is much more similar to the standard "Reincarnated as an immortal in the modern world and will now be awesome" stories. It takes a much more mythical approach, with the immortal world populated by figures like Sun Wukong and such. The main character is fairly likeable and while not amazing its actually fun enough.

Edit: Ah sadly it largely goes to shit around chapter 169 when it falls into the all too common trap of webnovel adaptions and just basically stops making sense. They compress too much stuff into nine or ten pages of a comic and characters and plot appear and disappear at random.
