Franze is having a lot of Blitzkrieg all over the place and Padania's revolutionary dictator joins the Allies in a defensive pact. If my memory isn't wrong, Franze is where Padanian nobles went in exile from the revolution. Will this be a Restorationinst war? If so, the Revolutionary Army will conscript the hell out of everyone and their mothers. Annette can't really catch a break.
Also, among all the suffering, Kathryn is really a good person. Despite having all that painful past with Annette and knowing what she symbolized in the past, she sees her genuine despair and innocence and decides to forgive her and to move past everything. She doesn't treat Annette like a scapegoat like her former schizo-husband, but like a hurt human being that needs healing. I really hope their friendship can survive the incoming war.
