I think it'd be kinda neat if the story had a role reversal after this. Like Kon uses this experience to get her life back on track and doesn't try to pursue Ai, but eventually Ai realizes her own mistake and has to try and win back Kon's trust. Something similar to Long-Awaited Feelings but a bit less extreme.

I was all for the MC of brides ditching her. I think most people were not into the bisexual “polycule” (because really it was more like one girl’s harem and everyone just orbited around her while indifferent to or outright disliking everyone else) and just found the whole setup distasteful.

This story hurts so good. If either woman had something that made them feel better that they could pursue other than these doomed relationships, then sure, they'd make better choices.
