At this point, there's no reason whatsoever to believe the events of the "story" will happen, since from the very beginning it didn't follow the narrative. Her dad choose to run away with her on his own, without external influence. It's not like she was already concious of her previous life as a newborn and intervened somehow to deviate the storyline.
