Sounds like Aster at first send herself back, realized she couldn't change anything about her own life in satisfactory way (mainly that Lihen still live the oppressed life) and on 2nd time do a sorta split effect.

The time reverted with Schderl as the caster (to reach the point before Aster was born) but with Aster's protection of time it's Lihen who remember the future.

is it really that shocking the daughter has done this repeatedly?

mostly just a slight interesting bit about how Schderl was the one doing it rather than her, and the trade off wasn't even a "real" thing clearly, it's mostly the statistical probability that everything will remain the same is near 0 with their time rules since a mage's magic "remembers" the life before and thus consciously or unconsciously change everything

I did feel strange that Aster quite adamantly told Lihen to be happy, turn out she was suffer a lot more in the first time line.
l’m just glad that Aster‘s soul come back to her again in the final time line.

The daughter reverting time isn't the surprise.

The useful details in this chapter were:
1. Answer to HOW was she able to reverse time given Lihen's previously pointed out that her daughter doesn't have enough magic power to do so
(I thought through relooping she gain more mana, but it's just straight up using someone else who has enough to power the spell)

2. The reveal that Aster herself basically shipped these two. On Schderl side she knew he's interested in Lihen from the painting, so she just needed to tell Lihen to go for Schderl and give her the protection so Lihen remember Aster's push.

3. Schderl's mana 'remember' give a little extra touch to the ending when he called the baby Aster.
