What GlyphXion said... one big sekrit of Japanese is that in normal conversation 'uso' does not mean 'that's a lie!' (someone is deliberately lying to you). It just means 'no way!'(I can hardly believe this for whatever reason). If you translate 'uso' as 'it's a lie!' you'll be wrong about 90% of the time. MTL doesn't seem to know that at all.
