TBF while the dad was an ass, most of what he said like attaining skills, and working hard to succeed does have merit. He just does it in an asshole-ish way.

He at least shows he is a productive member of society, this genderswap turned her into less of a hardass, and less arrogant which was his whole problem with Tatsuya his son. I like how in the previous chapter Dad regrets not bonding with Tatsuya enough.

The mangaka could have just had Dad be a useless leech who is all talk, but I prefer Dad to bounce back, and put her skills to use, as long as she does not get arrogant she should be fine.

Prev chapter showed him regretting not showing much affection with his son, since being stern will toughen him up. Somehow the epiphany came from not being able to bathe together in public bath, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess.
