if you think about it, it's actually that bar is the safest place for Xiao Lan to be worked on. because there is Mary who also work there and can ensure Xiao Lan's safety too. imagine if Xiao Lan working at other places, can Mary keep watch her and ensure her safety while she working at that bar too? I don't think so......moreover they can keep going and back together to makes sure that no one would try to harm Xiao Lan outside of workplace too.
