Hey at least the manga acknowledge Deku's insane goal. At this point I might as well say heck go for it. The manga invest a lot in this ideal so might as well see how it'll pay off.

Been seeing lots of twitter folks speculating that the last page could mean the Deku's gonna basically trade OfA for Star's quirk New Order.

It's probably gonna be a case where the only way for him to be able to take down Shigaraki is from the inside, with all the OfA vestiges likely to run amok inside him, especially Nana. Deku obtaining New Order would be a tremendous ass pull in my book, but it probably would work out better for him than it did Star. If I remember right the reason why it didn't work out well for her was that she didn't know Shigaraki's actual name, and the super regeneration he had at the time made it next to impossible for her to do anything to him. Since Deku knows everything about Shigaraki by this point, potentially he could have complete control over him.

That said, I'd view a redeemed Shigaraki as a bad ending. Yeah, it's Deku's style, but Shigaraki is someone that realistically is way beyond saving, despite what Horikoshi might end up showing. Besides, even if he does survive then chances are he'd just spend the remainder of his existence in prison. What a life.

Yeah, it seems that One For All has reached its limit or can't help deku on the things he's trying to do. I'm glad Star & Stripe gets more "screentime", since imo she doesn't get enough for such an important figure.

Looking forward for next week's chapter! :win:

Considering Horikoshi did her very dirty by introducing her, the number one hero of America, only to reduce her to cannon fodder to show how strong Shigaraki has gotten, the least he can do is throw her a bone or two.

man, this trope is done to death already. i hate it so fucking much. no, fuck your idealism, some people ONLY deserve death. what, you don't have enough real examples? go read a fucking history book, or watch the fucking news. Horikoshi was doing so well for so long. but not anymore.

Enough with the talk no jutsu you fucking retard. You trying to figure out his fucking issues will only result in your death AND the rest of the planet. You will cause even more deaths. This is the last stand.

I agree with the comments here. Yeah, Shiggy had a sad past and he IS only human but that doesn't justify his actions. Most of us had a sad past but we can't just go killing people because of it.
I think it's normal for Deku to feel conflicted in killing him or even feel bad about it but to go and want to save him is overboard.

Agreed. Like, I understand Horikoshi not wanting to have Deku kill someone (though could just go the Spider-man route, with villains killing themselves with their own attacks), but it's getting to autistic levels.

This is a dude that's only desire is to destroy the entire country, and kill as many people as he possibly can. By this point the death toll from all his actions have to be in the 10's of thousands, if not 100's of thousands (with all the cities that have been destroyed), and Deku's trying to do the whole Luke Skywalker thing, sensing that there's still good in him or whatever.

It's a complete mockery to every single person who's life was ruined or snuffed out by Shigaraki.

The more Hori raises the stakes, the more monstrous and psychotic Shiggy gets, and the less sense is makes for Deku to think he can save this guy who literally destroys everything he touches and is not only okay with that, but wants to kill as many people as possible with the bullshit powers he's been given and has been trying to do so the entire fucking time.
