wow that's some 2000s-vintage trans panic punctuated by a non-sequitir of a punchline. feels like somebody said "a girl needs to be careful" in an earlier draft of this storyline and it got cut, so now it's just reading as "misogynistic boys will be preyed upon by vengeful transvestites". the dad's insistence on his daughter only wearing masculine clothes... yeah sure.

Sure, but if we speak aesthethically, the hair just aint working with the dress, its like two different styles that dont mesh at all.

But I cant say I disagree with the overall sentiment: She wanted that dress, and got it, so the aesthethics are minor in comparison to the symbolism it has for finally breaking away from her forced boyish side.
