It's interesting how pages will bounce between not using magic at all, using magic to actually accomplish something, and then magic just happening without doing anything in particular so as to remind us she's a witch.
Honestly I've never been much of a fan of the 'fake lover' plot device. It always ends up being more trouble than it's worth in drama and misunderstandings, even if the fake couple eventually becomes real.

In this chapter it looked to me like she uses magic unconsciously when she gets flustered but yeah it's probably just there so we don't forget the premise

I don't mind it in this case since it helps bridge the social gap between the characters, but in general it's incredibly overused. I hope the turnaround time when they decide that they liked that is fast in this case.
