Well, there's nothing wrong in her wanting a friend and not a boyfriend. It's the point of the webtoon. And we see in the prologue that she was egging him on to start relationships. She's not hindering him.

Now, if he cannot think of her as a friend anymore, he can and should sever relations. But she is not to blame.

@Kendama Yeah . . . except actually, looking at what she's saying to herself, in a weird way what she's saying is she's too desperately in love with him to be willing to "love" him because her idea of "love" is a fleeting thing and then she wouldn't be able to keep the one person who means the world to her. To love him, in her mind, is to lose him--otherwise she would probably be fine with it.
It's a very typical long-time-friends romance story thing, but expressed quite nicely in this one IMO.

@Kendama: Well, yes, she's been encouraging him to get a girlfriend, but he's never had one (because he only has eyes for her) so she doesn't know how that would actually affect her emotionally, though the way she gets jealous is a pretty good indicator. Her telling him to get a girlfriend (and herself a boyfriend) is more like an intellectual exercise in how to deal with not falling in love with your very best friend.

I think he's probably quite able to continue on as a friend, after all, it's not like a switch was flipped and he suddenly realized that he is in love with her. He's been in love with her for a long time. It is most likely Song Ara who will have a difficult time resetting the clock.
