'twas a good ride. A better ending than a time skip would have been, although I can't help but feel a bit melancholy knowing that even the happy reunion with all the spirits has some sort of expiration date. I wanted to see more blissful married life, goshdarnit!

Source? This is about ten chapters shorter than the author's prior works, and the gangster one was definitely axed.

The ending was hella rushed, and the story didn’t indicate that it will be short. The whole manga was about world building and then suddenly a crisis hit that made it wrapped up.
Maybe it wasn’t officially axed, but sure felt that way
