She has a great figure, so any dress that is really tight will look at the very least decent.
But I agree that the design is not great...

I think the thing that bothers me most is the torso and arms look far too big and awkward and looks very off design...

LOVE the story, LOVE the artist, LOVE the art.....but that dress AINT it, and the fact that the characters wear the plainest clothes constantly, kinda proves that the artist is still not in the territory of designing clothes...much less a wedding dress.

The man is a movie director and he's running the wedding business with his wife. He also described their services as expensive but top quality. I'd guess most of their customers are from the entertainment business. That kind of customers often do go for flashier stuff than just regular people from the streets. Like if you consider the dresses movie stars often wear when going to events, such as the Academy Awards ceremony. That would explain this particular wedding dress. It looks kind of strange, but maybe that's the style their typical customers choose.
