If Extras is considered official, it seem the original Dong Fang Xian Yun undergoes a lot of reincarnation (time loop) where Yin Feixing keep dying and he wanted to prevent it. The only way to do it was him never ever meet Yin Feixing till they die of old age.

If that theory is true, maybe the story is one of DFXY reincarnation, but this time he is replaced by Li Xian Yun.

Or maybe, Li Xian Yun is DFXY reincarnation in modern era after the aforementioned end of Extra (they die at old age)?

This theory have a lot of flaw tho, since LXY personality is far too different from DFXY. I'm curious what is LXY real connection to the cultivation world.

Hmmm... I thought the extra is more like the alternative "neutral" ending from Pigsy imagination. The funny thing is that the MC already tried his best to get out of the sect and live normally. But Pigsy, out of his contempt and vengeance, tried to bring his back to the sect by throwing him to the cliff.

All in all, both MC and original big bro, are great people, although their approach is different. Pigsy is the one who actually has pit in his brain, wahah
