Yeah, my last cat was a real nibbler. I miss her.
At the start of this one, I immediately thought of a somewhat-early chapter in Nisekoi where Chitoge and Raku stumble across a 'stray dog' during one of their 'regular dates', and the dog reacted badly to Chitoge but positively to Raku initially, but during the course of the chapter, the dog warmed up to Chitoge until it seemed like it was actually sad to say goodbye to her, and vice versa, at the end. Felt like a poignant chapter with parallels to her own relationship with Raku. Helped hammer home Chitoge really is the female lead of that story, to me. Thought it was a shame the anime didn't adapt it at all.
The 4-page gag format of this didn't offer the opportunity to depict that sort of bond formation in one chapter, though, so I wasn't expecting it to go at all the same way.
