So basically it doesn't apply here. There isn't some point to defend. You need to fight to win, and the one on offence is camping. If CoD has taught me anything, the guy camping when they are on offense isn't going to win. Play the objective people.
And before you say, not dying is a necessity, so staying hidden is acceptable. They already know where that they're in the basement, so no one is really hiding.
