Ngl if you consider ML's PoV his worry is extremely realistic and justified. It is scary to imagine someone you care for can disappear without a trace to a time you can't ever reach. More so knowing that's the place they actually belong and not here.

Well in this case An Lushan failed to take power. He basically sat in a palace for a couple years stewing in paranoia and abusing his staff until a eunuch killed him with a sword. (The rebellion he started continued for a while under other leadership, but they died also.) He did cause a war that killed an apocalyptic number of people though so yeah that part's p much right.

yeah and that's exactly why she said that "Second Miss said we were in a golden era" for them who just came out from the disaster of a rebellion and all the slaughter it was really a golden era
