I really like how Jun always takes the time to explain to and remind his (Japanese) readers the cultural differences. Also in regards to that pasta, it was probably "Chinese" stir-fry aka fake Panda Express. The complaints he had about it makes it sound like the sloppy bullshit I toss together with leftovers though I don't make such an overly sweet sauce lol
