So he's conscious, he just can't do anything to resist now that Naito's decided to make him the twist villain, huh? Well, that at least confirms that they really are "real" beyond just being characters in Naito's story. Maybe it's also suggesting that he'll be saved and go back to normal? Because it's establishing beforehand that he's not all gone. Alternatively, maybe it means he'll be conscious enough to sacrifice himself or something. (Though he literally did just do that...)

Since I saw Kuro on vol 5 cover before I've been thinking that he's gonna be revived, but since they kept saying Naito isn't that good at writing script I thought it's gonna be a cheap twist where Kuro got revived to do some power of friendship final attack (but perish again after that), but glad I'm wrong lol very excited for the final volume!
