and the girl is supposed to be ridiculously socially crippled. they're just super comfortable around each other having been together their whole lives.

thats the actual appeal of childhood friends rather than the dumb trope of forgetting the other even existed until they reunite in highschool treating each other like strangers until 1 of them gets a flashback giving them the entirely unearned title.

MC being comfortable with asahi and accidently pulling some shoujo moves is also part of why the rat prez is after his ass.

Locking doors in a Lost Skill/Ancient Magic in Japan. Even the teachers don't know how to do it. It only happens in the PE equipment room.
