I think he planned the opposite? Like, he feared someone will blackmail her that if she doesn't want the fact they are related to be ousted and causes him trouble, she has to obey them; so he just ousted himself and take the heat for now.

Or you mean some guy will hit on her? If that's the case I can see it. She's easily pressured to boot, too.

But I agree that Mochizuki's plotline is more interesting at this point.
