Like I said in chapter 8, Alvar is the root of chaos in the party, always causing discord among members, no respect for him, and should be kicked out. It's not wise to keep him around, it's like tumor. But I also understand MC standpoint in this chapter, about his concern for his existence is actually held back other members growth. Well, having 2 kings on 1 throne is too cramped I guess. They went separate ways may be the best outcome since the beginning.

I appreciate that while MC is OP in this story and was instrumental in his party achieving their high rank, he wasn't the only world class member of the party and him leaving wasn't the death knell for his party like that is in so many other "Kicked out of my party" stories. It's also nice that the old party members aren't all selfish monsters who will screw someone over for very little reason, but instead honestly but wrongly believed they were being held back by MC. The old party feel like real people with real motivations instead of cartoon villains written to provide schadenfreude to the readers.
