The scene jumps and interactions in this chapter were weird and hard to follow. almost like the pages were out of order. things didn't really flow in a way that made sense like with a typical chapter. maybe the translation was off or some pages were missing or the manga creator was having an off-month.

so I wasn't the only to think the narration felt weird and rushed

I'd believe this chapter was covering a very chaotic part of this particular conflict-lot of random anecdotes, moments that are recorded but not quite clear when or where they happened, stuff like that.
