@xyzzy - Just because they are going with a NaruSaku ending, doesn't mean that's the only reason for it. Many people that spent years reading it (including myself) hated the ending, but not just for the out of nowhere end couples. Hell, the whole war final arc was pretty terrible. Even if NaruSaku is the reason, many people argue they should have happened not because of some "shipping" nonsense. It's because Kishimoto is a spent 15+ years building up their development and chemistry.

@jak Agreed, but what I hated most about the entire Shippuden half was Sasuke. When I was a kid I thought Sasuke was "cool" but that was because I was a kid with bad taste. In Shippuden he was just the biggest asshole ever. He even turns around at the end to help and then immediately turns around again to try to take over everything, only to get away with everything he did without even a slap on the wrist. I didn't even read all of the series but that ending was shit. Sasuke wouldn't work with any character in the entire series but almost everyone else has one or two that they could be paired with and it would be satisfactory. Most of them wouldn't be great since they'd be barely more than paper-thin but they would still be infinitely better than Sasuke being paired with anyone/thing.
