As some of you may know, we accidentally sniped this series. You might say, "But Jon, how did you accidentally do that?" and of course, I'm asking myself the same question.
Long story short, we had read some of the comments in the previous chapters and did the bad thing of assuming it was being dropped based on what a couple of them said. Reading them over again, I can definitely see that they could have meant something else.
It was not our intention to snipe, and I tried to reach out to the leader of the previous group to clear up the misunderstanding but to no avail.
Now, onto the important stuff. It is not in our nature to pressure anyone to stop doing a series. If @occu demands that we stop, then we will do just that. Though, if they allow us to continue, then we will make everyone happy. After seeing the schedule of past releases, I believe that this series should have been caught up by now, and I know that there are some groups out there that like to claim series for a long time, in a sense believing that the series belongs to them. Now, I know people have their own things to do which is why sometimes it takes 3 months to release a chapter, so we do understand how groups might take longer.
Again, we had no intention of sniping, so are hoping the previous leader lets us know what they want. Thank you.

its likely they going skip vol 5 content and focus on ending only...
too bad we cant enjoy their xmas content in manga ver... and not knowing when vol 6 LN will be out

At the moment, and for the last couple volumes or so (raw spoilers)
After this trip arc, there's the whole thing with Kaede and Kusakabe, where Toiro and Masaichi want to help the two get together.
They are now participating in the couples' competition in the cultural festival and are just about to finish it. Chapter 60, the latest one, ended with Toiro and Masaichi going on stage in Pajamas.
I don't know if there will be a time skip in the last chapter but so far it's indicating it will end with the cultural festival arc.

We're planning to keep working on this because we enjoy doing it. Occu has always been clear on the credits page that releases happen when they happen. I mean, if we can get chapters out faster than we have been, then we will; I brought in someone in to help with cleaning, for example. But release rate is still going to be what it will. I can't speak for Occu, but I'm working on three other series and I have like 2, maybe 3 hours a week to spend on scanlation these days.
You're free to do what you want. I'm not gonna say get off our turf or anything. I actually ended up in this exact situation on another series I'm doing, and decided to keep going anyway because I wanted to do the whole thing my way (starting from Ch 1). But in general, I'd say if your group has other projects that nobody else is working on, focus on those so that everyone has access to even more great manga.
Is it translated that far in English? Novel updates only has it to chapter 7 I think.
Thank you for your response! Then if that's the case, I will stop production of this series. Sorry again for the misunderstanding, I hope it's okay that we leave this chapter up, just because I don't want my work to go to waste. If you ever decide to drop it, we will be happy to pick it up when that day comes.
