There's always a 50/50 chance if a male love interest in a horror manga ends up being a psycho or not.
I remember reading Tokimeki no Ikenie and I was genuinely surprised when the male lead ended up being the sweetest guy ever. I kept expecting there to be some subversion with him but there never was.

That was more bc her own family was the horror so I assume someone raised in this family would be attracted to someone more “normal” but more series like that would be nice too
