lol are there non flying kind? IDK about japan but given that their legs are sticky enough to climb onto walls it wouldn't matter

tho i'm surprised they wouldn't just have a spray on hand (other than cats breathing it in) versus willing to clean the 'corpse' off a slipper if not throw it away

Tho other than Tepu-chan always opening the balcony door, i wonder if there's just something about houses in Japan that make them wanna invest it b/c around here other than the occasional fly coming in or so, roaches tend to be a sign that your house is dirty/needs a clean up lol (although i can imagine Sensei being so hyperfocused on writing that he neglects cleaning, but still)

Cockroaches are extremely resilient, they're a kind of extremophile, like the tardigrade. Some can even survive with their head cut off, and drink from whatever "hole" there is left. They're really spooky.

ah yeah i do remember something about like 'if you drop a nuke somewhere cockroaches will still survive', tho i'd rather have cat overlords than roach ones XD
