I'm sure non reincarnated dogs have an 'inner clock' (lots of pet memes about daylights savings and their dinner time lol), but exercise aside you'd think they'd walk after lunch, summer aside for something to digest or so

Tho other than a potty break you'd think there'd be some 'inner pet gym 'or so as well

I don't remember if it was for cats or dogs (or even both...) but some time ago an advice used to circulate about never giving food to pets at the same time but always change it, even if slightly, exactly so they do not develop a habit of sort.
Don't know about how good this advice is, but your comment made me remember it.

Yeah might be just easy to just get them do tricks or maybe go for a walk first/exhaust them to where they would nap or so, versus maybe prepping and serving a bowl of theirs like five minutes before/into your own dinner time so they wouldn't be begging for your food during (tho i imagine most dogs/cats would be able to finish their own dinner pretty quickly versus it being in a diff room)
