But he's being a dick about it by pretending her human emotion side doesn't exist. It's quite clear he is trying to establish a one sided relationship where only he benefits and on his terms.... like she's a pet.

It's shocking how few people that actually bother to comment actually manage to understand what they're reading sometimes. You'd think they didn't just see everything you described. When people say "Immediately", they don't often literally mean "Immediately", but rather "soon after". But she came straight to the cafe. It was her exact intended destination the moment she ran. If she wasn't all wishy washy about being treated like a cat before bolting there, you'd think she just realized she was late for the job.

The fact that this clear, swift transition to her hypocritical BS somehow went over their heads, and now they're insulting the guy like he's some abusive stalker, and she's some perfect little angel, is concerning.

Like, if I work for a company, does that mean I have to love that company and advocate for it wherever I go? Those are pretty disingenuous examples, given that they're related to extremely inflammatory ethical debates that have nothing to do with personal identity. This is more like she dresses up as a maid at a maid cafe but doesn't want her customers to expect her to act like a maid if they happen to meet her on the street.
