Based on Chapter 1 I think this story would work better without the Fantasy elements, but the tease for Chapter 2 suggests we're going hard in on the fantasy. It would even make for a decent 1-shot as is, if you cut out the last page. But I see that it's a long-runner Light Novel series being adapted, so I guess the fantasy stuff is decent enough to carry it amidst the sea of other fantasy dungeonpunk manga & LNs.
