this is an interesting interpretation of pregame ouma. he isn't as shy as many choose to headcanon him as, if anything he's just a good kid who's trying to be reliable for good opportunities in the future. it's nice to see that the dice members we see in ouma's eventual motive video are just his former classmates lol (and i like to think it's the same thing for saihara's friends during his gofer project backstory, basically the entire hc is that their former classmates act in their backstory). i like ouma's ignorance of danganronpa since it kinda counters shirogane's claim that the entire world knows and loves the killing game (i mean it's still loved enough to still be considered legal but not to the extent shirogane says it is, if that makes any sense). and he's hated the killing game this entire time, and it's at saihara's freakout of potentially having messed up his audition that causes ouma to really think this through (even though he kinda just came to check it out like... bruh). so in a way, him working with momota in the end is to end the killing game, right? but ouma only started coming to hate it after seeing how obsessed saihara was with it, so... it's almost like they're working together for saihara's sake and that's pretty cute. but damn, that death scene still hits hard. i thought i could see it coming and i did, but STILL. overall this is a masterpiece and ugh i love it sm
