its been a minute with this manga, am i suppose to know that couple in the first couple of pages?

If it's not a flashback i'd assume it was the yakuza members' target, if not part of the organization but i guess the last couple pages implies that the guy's involved with them and also potentially has a lover 'not from their world' like nezumi despite pulling ao-kun into it
