Idk if 'life insurance' pays out to the kid if the parents do a double suicide but you'd think there'd be some CPS called or so (not sure why the crush? was crying tho , other than feeling sorry for her or his parents having a close relationship to her parents before or so)

Presumably the parents approved a legal adoption for the yakuza guy before offing themselves. That in itself might be unrealistic though if there's an investigation into the appropriateness of the adoption, I would assume that's typically pretty strict in real life.

The crush was crying because he knows her parents killed themselves, which is just an absolutely terrible thing to happen to a young child. He's crying in empathy for her, and also because her callousness in the face of their suicide confuses and terrifies him.

I suppose so but even with her laughing it off, i'm sure there's been more 'normal' situations where someone losing parents were too numb to react or acted like 'not affected' as well as like a coping mechanism, it'd be interesting if he ran into her again present time
