What even is the point of Nezumi's memories of being sexually assaulted being fake? What even is this plot point? Why would you spend so many chapters of a manga establishing that she had been raped as a kid and how this affected her, only to later go "oh this was all fake", wtf.

It feels like the author is trying to make the organization less bad, which is really stupid. You really want me to believe that a crime organization would not be willing to use sexual assault to control people, but would rather just spend money paying scientists to brainwash little girls and traumatize them? Because that's somehow morally better?

It's just really stupid. Is this trying to make the readers more sympathetic towards the boss guy? You introduce him to the readers by showing him raping Nezumi and other little girls and then you go "None of that was real, he's actually nice!".

maybe it'd work if they did it with blindfolds/diff positions :pacman:

does seem like bs, i imagine it's to control her but seems like it'd be risky, if anything considering she coma-tized the patriarch to begin with they would've hypnotized her to be like frozen or so versus a flight/flight instinct to stab someone (tho Midori did say to Ao in the hospital room that she wasn't actually assaulted, well i mean there was an attempt but i imagine he got stabbed and unconscious before any penetration happened but it'd still be traumatizing either way)

tho even as assassins you'd think during an anniversary/hotel stay she wouldn't have had a knife on her unless it was from like room service or so

I'm so confused by this comment, when was this established "over many chapters"? The only time this would have been implied would be from the flashback of him trying to rape her at the very start of the series...but even there you can probably assume that she "killed" him before it happened.
After that it, was only implied again by midoris backstory in chapter 37, but in chapter 38 we are IMMEDIATELY told by midori that nezumi wasn't raped because she fought back first and only midori was raped. This was known for almost the last 20 chapters, and for sure not because he is "actually nice", midori was still raped after all.
