Honestly i'm surprised there's even time right then and there, i'd expect a place as 'uptight' as like a Japanese run school for the teacher to appear there first and take note of who takes the longest to show up even if you still have 'time', other than the teacher stepping out i don't think i was ever in a room with classmates where the teacher wasn't there tho i can imagine most western teachers would have to be there so ppl wouldn't goof around for too long/make messes and such
