I hope it won't turn into actual tragedy, because it was too forced to be actual end state. It would be reverse plot armor, when author just shits on MCs and everyone on purpose, "LOL they're filming and point the camera on baddie because I say so".

This. Especially since they’re investigating the weirdness surrounding the motorcyclist death.

And they don’t really need to “explain it” at the moment because it’s been shown that the media has already become enthralled with The Great King of Fear. And then afterwards reality will just sew itself up again like it never happened. That’s just how the split between the normals and the abnormals goes.

But I don’t see it going well for the new woman. She’s far too competent and willing to work with Asama. THAT’S the biggest death flag of all!

A big theme of the series (And the folklore it's based on) is that searching too deep, looking for it and acknowledging the weird is a great way to die as you are bringing in entities outside of this world. As we know this got fixed up, but I wonder what will be the extend of the damages.
