When you think about it a bit, Kanamori's current path is ALREADY him getting his life screwed. Remember, in the original timeline he was set on the path to becoming a successful politician and potentially future mayor of Kumine months ago. It's him bailing town that set him on that path. Now he's months late still pointlessly trying to find of a way to become petty ruler of a bunch of delinquents instead of starting on his adult career. He was forced to grow up earlier in the original timeline. Now he's still playing kids' games.

Worse is, in the real timeline even before Wagatsuma came from 2013 to 1991, Kanamori is a scumbag father. Fooling around other woman, cheating & leaving his wife that got sick and he abandoned his son (Wagatsuma) as well SMH. This series, conceptually, shows multiple timeline with multiple point of divergent that Kanamori would always ended up be a scum person in life

I think there continues to be a major misunderstanding about Kanamori here. Kanamori's legal wife in the original future timeline Dai came from was Kimura Reimi, his current girlfriend (the one who keeps hiding him when he got in trouble). You can see this is the earlier chapters. She would continue to be the strong woman driving him around to be the politician he was meant to become. Dai's mom was the side chick. I don't understand why people can confuse the two. The family names should make it clear. Dai's mom was named Wagatsuma, not Kimura.
