As I said in a previous chapter's comments, this was adapted into the first half of episode 11, season 2. I want to say I actually didn't like this scenario, as Kosaki was practically starving herself because she thought she gained too much weight.
It almost sounds like the scale probably told her an absurd weight that wouldn't make sense if you really thought about it, but she trusted it so completely that she was actively hurting herself, and that's not good.
But too many people reinforced this bad body image with their careless comments who should actually care about Kosaki, including her sister and best friend. This only made it worse.
This wasn't a 'fun' or 'funny' situation. It was a dangerously unhealthy one that shouldn't be made light of. Even if you want to lose weight, starving yourself is one of the worst things you can do.
But, well... at least it resolved itself in a little over a day, and it was kind of a cute interaction in the end, but still, that's a horrible thing to do to yourself.
