She should have gone more towards the route of "do you really want to be consumed by darkness" type of route, and not the "do you know the repercussions of killing royalty" route. For those who assume Sierra is just a dumb b@%&$ virtue calling here's an analogy,

'When you just start knocking down walls of a rotten house, you're gonna find out one's still load-bearing.'

It's not Masamune's revenge that's pissing her off. It's violently excising the government from a country without any forethought. Were they evil? Yes. But they were still the decision makers for the entire country. You can't just remove them and expect the country to still function. The best case scenario is a hundreds of thousands of people's livelihoods are endangered. The worst case scenario is that the same hundreds of thousands of people that were completely unrelated to the situation will die. Think of it this way. Emergency reports will likely flood any office of authority. Many of which aren't capable or competent enough to properly mobilize knights or handle the crisis. Actions will be delayed and it won't be a corrupt noble at risk of getting crushed by bandits/monster/disasters.

All those civilian deaths won't be on the already dead monarchy. It'll be on the MC.

Think you are misunderstanding how monarchies and feudal governments work. Yes removing the top leadership will bring some chaos to the citystate/kingdom/empire, but the bureaucracy nor the nobles that run it will all be in the castle/palace. I would actually say that the loss of the treasury would be a bigger loss then the loss of King/Emperor and his wife.

OTOH iirc the leader of that terrorist group that employed the MC for the attack on the castle also happened to be one of the nation's princes. So the nation didn't completely loose it's royalty, just the ones that were content murdering their own people for their own greed and power.

Calling it emotional slop just has me on my sides laughing ngl. I do agree some, largely in the premise that lead up to the desired revenge being slop, along with the way revenge was achieved.

The real slop though is the gimmick slop of this series, inversion of things has promise as a concept, but the author's execution of it seems really lacklustre and always suiting Nito's needs. It needs to backfire a little or have some factor of risk, and not just whatever that staff's foreshadowing will lead up to as a singular plot point.
